Rated 12 by PEGI, this game offers a career mode in which the user gets to create a player and play matches so as to progress in the world of cricket and get that much closer to achieving glory. The player begins as a 16-year-old individual and can extend his career up to 20 years. The Cricket Academy feature lets you hit the nets for practise so that you can hone your cricketing skills; the user can also make and edit players, teams and competitions here.

This game features 79 teams, they are: international, domestic, historical and future generation; each can be played by the user. Furthermore, there are 13 different grounds that can be played on, the locations of which map the expanse of the world.

The gameplay of Don Bradman Cricket 14 offers much liberty to the user. With unique batting and bowling controls/physics and a full 360 shot delivery, the player can take advantage of the field to his or her benefit and indulge in their love for the sport. Additionally, an advanced fielding system gives total control of the field. One can also appeal to the umpire if they feel that it is an out.
